Elizabeth Strong

Elizabeth Strong is a San Francisco Bay Area dancer, choreographer and educator whose work frequently centres traditional movement within contemporary performance. She toured with Bellydance Superstars and became a founding member of Bellydance Evolution. Strong was also part of the early dance environment surrounding Beats Antique. Her teaching is particularly respected for Turkish Roman dance and musical interpretation. She represents a contemporary American approach that combines professional theatrical experience with an effort to preserve the integrity and cultural character of specific traditional forms.
