Nabila Aswan

Nabila Aswan is a Mexican dancer who began studying Arab dance at approximately thirteen years old. Before relocating to Egypt she was active as a teacher and event organiser in Mexico. Around 2020 she moved to Egypt and began building a professional career there. She now performs regularly while also teaching and coaching international students. Her training and professional environment have brought her into direct contact with Egyptian dancers and teachers, including work connected with Tito Seif's programmes. Nabila represents a younger generation of Latin American dancers choosing long-term residence in Egypt in order to build careers inside the culture that produced Raqs Sharqi.
