Simona Minisini

Simona Minisini is an Italian Oriental dance artist whose career combines performance, pedagogy and academic-style research. She has more than twenty years of professional experience in the field. Her background includes the study of dance history, music analysis, movement morphology and contemporary dance technique. Together with Maryem Bent Anis, she developed the Arab World Dances educational framework and co-authored professional teaching material. Her work is particularly valuable for Raqs Atlas because it approaches Oriental dance through methodology, historical context and technical analysis rather than only performance aesthetics.
